Guyed Towers - Technical Details

"M333",  "M500" & "M800" Guyed towers:

The "M" guyed towers series is a triangular shaped lattice guyed towers, made of tubular, solid and angular members, designed for light to medium loads, generally suitable for cellular sites, TV and AM/FM radio stations.

The M towers are designed for heights of 20 to 150m, and it can be easily shipped in a standard 20' ISO container.

The M towers modular design allows last minute modification - modules can easily be changed according to the specific site design.

Each tower is equipped with a variety of accessories, such as platforms, antenna mounts, safety devices, obstruction lights, lightning protection kit etc, which can be installed at any desired height and orientation.

Optimal Height

20 to 150m.

Design Standards

TIA/EIA 222-F, AISC manual, CP3, BS8100

Material

• Angular/ tubular leg members ST 52-3
• Angular bracing members and plates ST37-2
• Solid rods ST 52-3 or ST37-2.

Connections

• Bolts are ISO 8.8, SAE Grade 5, or ASTM A-325, supplied with two washers, nut and spring washer.
• A 5% hardware overage is included.

Anchoring

Cast-in galvanized anchors and stubs are supplied for the central and anchors bases.

The guy wires are made of high strength steel in 6x7 or 6x19 configurations, with heavy duty end accessories.

Ladders

The towers are supplied with a caged or open ladder with safety climbing line. The ladder can be installed in the inside or outside of the tower. Vertical cable hangers are located next to the climbing ladder or on any of the tower faces.

Steel types

Structural elements are made of:

ST52-3 according to DIN 17100 (Min Fy=355 MPa)

ST37-2 according to DIN 17100 (Min Fy=235 MPa)

Bolts and nuts are in accordance with ANSI/ASME B18.2.1 Gr 5, hot-dip galvanized.

Welding / Galvanizing

Welds are pre-qualified according to AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code (Steel).

All steel members are protected by a hot-dip galvanizing process in accordance with ASTM A123.
